Cybersecurity, AI, and job satisfaction. What else are higher ed CIO/CTOs thinking about?
Inside Higher Ed's 2024 Survey of Campus Chief Technology/Information Officers asked CIO/CTOs their thoughts on topics ranging from AI’s impact on college campuses to whether institutions will continue to support online learning. The survey revealed interesting findings, including:
- Only 22% of CIO/CTOs are prioritizing AI investments. While excitement for AI is high, few institutions have comprehensive AI policies in place.
- Only 17% of CIO/CTOs are confident they can prevent cyberattacks and no one reported being extremely confident.
- 86% of CIO/CTOs say their colleagues expect adaptable work environments, but only 53% of institutions have policies that actively encourage remote work.
